QHSE Director (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment)

Solutions RH+ Emploi is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients a QHSE Director (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) reporting to the General Management.

The QHSE Director defines, implements, and oversees the company’s QHSE strategy. He/she ensures regulatory compliance, reduces professional and environmental risks, and drives continuous improvement of the quality, safety, and environmental management systems.

MAIN MISSIONS

QHSE Strategy

• Define the QHSE policy in alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
• Develop QHSE action plans and have them approved by management.
• Ensure continuous regulatory monitoring of QHSE standards and requirements.

Management Systems

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
• Define, monitor, and analyze QHSE indicators.
• Manage internal and external audits as well as management reviews.

Safety and Risk Prevention

• Identify occupational, environmental, and industrial risks.
• Implement prevention measures and emergency plans.
• Supervise accident/incident analyses and ensure corrective actions are applied.

QHSE Management and Coordination

• Supervise and lead QHSE teams (HSE managers, quality coordinators, etc.).
• Support and train operational managers on QHSE issues.
• Raise employee awareness of best practices.

External Relations and Reporting

• Serve as the point of contact for regulatory bodies, administrative authorities, and stakeholders.
• Prepare QHSE reports for management and/or shareholders.

PROFILE REQUIRED

Education:
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in QHSE, Engineering, Risk Management, or equivalent.

Experience:
Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in QHSE functions, including at least 3 years in a managerial or multi-site coordination role.

Key Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of QSE standards (ISO, MASE, ILO, etc.)
• Strong understanding of safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations
• Ability to unite teams, persuade, and drive change
• Leadership, analytical thinking, and rigor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional English (depending on the international context)
