LEGAL DEPARTMENT TRAINEE

Job description

  • Job title: Professional Trainee – Legal Department
  • Reporting department: Legal Department
  • Place of internship: Douala

Main duties
Under the supervision of the Head of the Legal Department, the trainee will have the following tasks :

  • Participate in the analysis and drafting of contracts, agreements and other legal documents;
  • Assist in the management of litigation and pre-litigation files;
  • Carry out legal research and prepare briefing notes on specific issues;
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in relation to the organisation’s activities;
  • Contribute to the drafting of correspondence, reports and legal documents;
  • Participate in meetings and assist in the follow-up of legal recommendations;
  • Providing support in monitoring internal administrative and regulatory procedures.

Skills required

  • Good command of business law, labour law and administrative law;
  • Ability to analyse and summarise;
  • Good writing skills and proficiency in office automation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Rigour, discretion and respect for the confidentiality of information handled;
  • Team spirit and autonomy in carrying out tasks.

Desired profile

  • Master 1 or 2 student in Law (Business Law, Public Law, Private Law, etc.) or equivalent degree;
  • First experience (traineeship) in a law firm, company or administration appreciated;
  • Strong motivation to work in a legal and institutional environment.
